Terms & Conditions
Bookings -
1) Times and dates are subject to availability and approval from a member of MAKKsound staff.
1a) STUDIO only - reserves the right to refuse and reschedule bookings. MAKKsound reserves the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen situations and will endeavor to reschedule with out loss of revenue to MAKKsound or artist/band.
2) Contracts will be agreed upon at the time of confirmation between the customer and MAKKsound. All bookings will confirmed by email, which contain booking details and a confirmation number. This confirmation email accounts to an acceptance by MAKKsound of your offer to book the services of MAKKsound. You agree that email will be used as a means of communication.
3) This confirmation email will contain statutory information concerning your contract.
4) It is the responsibility of the client to check details on this confirmation email, are correct as soon as possible for their own records.
5) Whilst every endeavor will be made to fulfill our obligation, certain circumstances maybe out of our control, which in light of this, any deposit fees will be refunded. No client loss will be levied at our expenses if such arises.
Cancellation - MAKKsound requires three days (72 hours) notice for any booking. Cancellations will be confirmed by email by a MAKKsound staff. Sending an email to MAKKsound will not be accepted as proof of cancelling if not acknowledged by a MAKKsound staff. A cancellation fee of 50% will be charged + tax only on Studio bookings if within notice period, including no-shows, otherwise full value is as invoice. Allowances for cancellation fees due to extreme circumstances are made at the discretion of MAKKsound management.
Deposit - A reservation fee for any booking (internal/external) will be required, value to be agreed on. This may be a cover-charge for any external equipment that may have to be additionally hired for event.
Payments - MAKKsound accepts payments using the following methods: cash, e-transfer, debit, credit card* or certified cheque. Payments must be received in full within 14 days from date of invoice. Any Studio time will be payable on a day-to-day hire.

Refunds -
1) In the event of equipment during a STUDIO session failure and there being no suitable substitute equipment available, the customer shall be entitled to a full refund of the session fee of that day. With the exception of said refund, MAKKsound accepts no further liability in regard to incomplete sessions.
2) In the event of an external booking being cancelled, the customer shall be entitled to a full refund with subject to any charges already paid for any additional external rentals.
Recordings - Every endeavor will be made to complete post-production mixing within 5-7 days from date after recording finished. No penalty fees for failure to achieve are payable.
Copyright - Copyright in a sound recording expires 50 years from the end of the year in which it was made or published. Copyright protection is automatic, all original material recorded by MAKKsound is protected under Canadian Copyright Laws. Only on complete full and final settlement will ownership of Copyright be passed to 'Third Party', with permission being granted to MAKKsound to have full use of material in its own marketing function that doesn't prohibit the 'Third Party'.
Damages - Any damage to equipment due to misuse and abuse will be charged to client or individual. Refusal to pay for breakages or damage could result in legal action.
Venue - It is the clients' to assure that reasonable access is available, venue is accommodating and security procedures are in place so that no damage, losses or theft to equipment, before, during or after event on 'Agreed Date', whilst on venues premises. If circumstances should arise, the client could be accountable for full losses.
Privacy - We are committed to protecting your privacy. Authorised employees within the company only use any information collected from individual customers on a need to know basis. Client records are regarded as confidential and therefore will not be divulged to any third party, other than if legally required to do so to the appropriate authorities. We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party or use your email address for unsolicited mail. Any emails sent by MAKKsound will only be in connection with the provision of agreed services.
